Terms of Use

Last updated: 29 August 2026

The short version. Pay $79 once and AgentGuardian is yours for good, on as many of your own computers as you like. Changed your mind within 30 days? Email us and we refund it. The software helps you catch risky AI-generated changes — but it is a second pair of eyes, not a guarantee, and reviewing your own code remains your job.

1. Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using AgentGuardian you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software. Throughout, “we” and “us” mean the operator of AgentGuardian, contactable at support@agentguardian.app.

2. What you get

Free tier

AgentGuardian may be used at no cost for up to two repositories, with static risk analysis, the automatic test runner, AI review using your own API key, and tray notifications. There is no time limit and no card required.

Pro licence

A one-time payment of $79 grants a perpetual licence to AgentGuardian Pro, covering unlimited repositories, custom risk rules, visual smoke checks, and Pro features released in future. It does not expire, does not renew, and will not be charged again.

The licence is for you — as an individual or as a business — and may be installed on any computer you own or control. You may not sell, sublicense, rent, or share your licence key with people outside your organisation. A key that appears to be circulating publicly may be deactivated.

3. Payment and tax

Payment is processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card details. Prices are shown inclusive of tax, so the amount displayed is the amount you pay regardless of where you are.

4. Refunds

30 days, no questions asked. Email support@agentguardian.app from the address you purchased with, and we will refund you in full. You do not need to explain why.

This is offered on top of, and does not limit, any statutory right of withdrawal you may have — including the 14-day right available to consumers in the EU and UK. Your licence key is deactivated once a refund is issued.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Your AI provider account. AI review runs on your own API key with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter, Groq, or a custom endpoint. You hold that account and you pay whatever it costs. We do not control, resell, or reimburse those charges. Reviewing large diffs consumes tokens; monitor your own usage.
  • Your code leaving your machine. Enabling AI review sends your commit diffs to the provider you selected. Make sure you are permitted to do that with the code in question. See our Privacy Policy.
  • Keeping your licence key. It is emailed to you on purchase. Keep it. We can resend it to the original purchase email, but cannot transfer it to a different address without evidence of purchase.

6. What the software does not promise

Read this part. AgentGuardian is an assistive review tool. It will miss things. Risk scores and issue reports are generated in part by AI language models, which are probabilistic and can be confidently wrong — both flagging harmless changes and overlooking serious ones. A clean review is not evidence that code is correct, secure, or safe to deploy.

It does not replace human code review, testing, security auditing, or your own judgment. Never treat a passing AgentGuardian review as sign-off for production.

The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will detect any particular defect.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, service interruption, or the cost of substitute software, arising from your use of or inability to use AgentGuardian.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the software is limited to the amount you actually paid for your licence.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case those exclusions do not apply to you.

8. Availability of the licence server

Licence activation requires contacting our server. We aim to keep it available but do not guarantee uptime. The application is designed to keep working during an outage rather than lock you out — an already-activated licence continues to function if the server cannot be reached.

9. Ending the agreement

You may stop using AgentGuardian at any time by uninstalling it. We may deactivate a licence only where it has been obtained fraudulently, charged back, refunded, or shared publicly in breach of section 2. We will email you before deactivating a licence except where a chargeback or fraud makes that impractical.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated for future releases, but the terms of a licence you have already bought will not be changed retroactively to your disadvantage. Material changes will be emailed to existing licence holders.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of AgentGuardian is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
